How to care for this plant

Water
The Skimmia likes well-draining, slightly acidic soil. If the Skimmia is in a pot, it is important that excess water can drain away. The plant does not need much water, but do water according to need and in case of extreme drought.

Location
Skimmia does not demand much about its location but grows best in the half-shadow/shadow. If there is too much sunlight, the dark green leaves will show yellow spots.

Fertilisation
Make sure the soil is rich in nutrients and fertilise the soil twice a year. Do this with an organic long-term fertiliser, the first time in early spring and the second time in September. If the plant is in a pot, fertilise once a month.
