How to care for this plant
Water
In full soil and in pots it is important to water sufficiently after planting. Depending on the weather, water 1-3 times a week. After the plant has taken root, it only needs water in the event of extreme drought. They do not like wet feet, make sure that the soil is permeable or that excess water can run away.
Location
Half-shadow. Make sure that the plant is not placed in full shade, because this prevents the leaves from drying properly during the day and increases the risk of fungal diseases. Because the plant receives less sunlight, the leaves remain a nice dark colour.
Fertilisation
Make sure the soil is rich in nutrients and fertilise the soil twice a year. Do this with an organic long-term fertiliser, the first time in early spring and the second time in September. If the plant is in a pot, fertilise once a month.
